PURITAN STAR QUILT
This quilt is comprised solely of blocks in the classic "Puritan Star" pattern dating back to the early 1700's. Dozens of different fabrics in solids and prints were used. The background is a soft off-white.
The star is made up of eight individual sections.
A separate secondary pattern is formed by the negative space where the points of the stars connect.
The quilting is straight-lines on the diagonal alternating direction in every other block. This creates a diamond shape in some of the secondary blocks and an "X" in the others.
The binding is a gray-green stripe.
