Denim summer quilt

This queen size quilt was made from old pairs of jeans collected from my closet, friends, family, and estate and yard sales. It's a 'flimsy', i.e. there is no batting, just the pieced quilt top and the backing fabric. The denim is heavy enough to provide a nice amount of warmth, perfect for a summer or beach quilt. The blocks are 5" square. 

The backing is a heavy cotton fabric in a nautical motif I found at a Southampton estate sale. The binding is done in a fabric that resembles blue bandana.
